In honor of the month of "love," I've decided to love my family a little more by going underground. That is, I will be unplugging a little bit. I've deleted FB and Pinterest apps from my phone and I am trying not to use my phone and computer during kid waking hours. Of course if you call me, I'll answer. :)
When I told my sister about this challenge a couple of days ago, I said, "I'm starting tomorrow."
She said, "That's what addicts say."
I've been thinking about this for a while now but was inspired by my baby sister, the Hands Free Mama blog (recommended by a friend who is joining my movement,) and an article from my church's monthly publication (coincidently I got this in the mail after I made the decision to do this little experiment.) Oh, and more inspiration came from my cute kiddos who deserve a more attentive mom.
I've had fun doing hard things in the past. Like the month I quit all sugar. I learned a lot from it and have changed for the better.
My friends know that I'm a self-help book/blog/podcast junkie. So maybe I'll find another crazy project to work on after this.
In preparation for this big change, I cleaned up my Pinterest account and came across this recipe. I made it tonight and it was delish.
Slow Cooker Honey Sesame Chicken
(P.S. Thanks El for being my fan even though I'm a little out there!)
